HOUSTON – A Guatemalan central says a 2½-year-old migrant child has died after channel a border, apropos a fourth teenager famous to have died after being incarcerated by a Border Patrol given December.
Tekandi Paniagua, a consul for Guatemala in Del Rio, Texas, pronounced Wednesday that a child had entered a United States with his primogenitor during El Paso, Texas, in early April. Paniagua pronounced a child had a high heat and problem breathing, and authorities took him to a children’s sanatorium where he was diagnosed with pneumonia.
The child remained hospitalized for about a month before failing Tuesday. The Washington Post initial reported his death.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection didn’t respond to a ask for criticism Wednesday.
