City Councilmember Ruben Diaz Sr. pronounced Sunday that he’d rather give adult his absolute cabinet assignments than apologize to plainly happy Speaker Corey Johnson for his homophobic comments.
Diaz Sr. — who was allocated by Johnson to committees on land use, open housing and travel — again refused to apologize for observant final week that a City Council is “controlled by a homosexual community.”
Johnson is “asking for an apology, we know that,” a reverend politician Diaz told The Post outward his church.
Refusing to offer a mea culpa, Diaz added, “If he had to take divided my [positions] divided from me, we would know that.”
Johnson pronounced Sunday he is weighing his options.

“We are now reviewing all intensity disciplinary scenarios. Nothing is off a table,” Johnson said, citing Diaz’s “indefensible refusal to apologize or even acknowledge a harm he has caused” — as good as a “many” legislature members who have called for Diaz Sr.’s condemnation or ouster.
