Serena Williams is stability another epic run during Wimbledon. She’ll play in a semifinals on Thursday (July 11) opposite Barbora Strýcová in hopes of creation her 32nd Grand Slam final. (She’s also still in a hunt for a churned doubles titles with British star Andy Murray.)
As always, she’s shown off her implausible skill, fitness, and continuation on a court. But some fans consider there’s another pivotal to her powers: her hair. During her Tuesday (July 9) compare opposite associate American Alison Riske, Williams primarily wore her curls in what has turn something of a signature demeanour for her—a mutated ponytail with a headband. After losing a second set and with a third tied during 3–3, she pulled her hair adult into a parsimonious bun.
Soon enough, Williams was once again winning a compare and finished adult winning that set 6–3 and a match.
“Well, currently [my hair] was only in my way, and a wind. we was blank a shot since it’s in my face,” Williams pronounced of a hair switch. “I was like, ‘This is not happening.’ we only indispensable to get it out of a way, put a business bun adult and only get to business.”

Listen, I’m only a fan, and I’ve entirely assured myself that either my hair is adult or down has an outcome on a sporting eventuality I’m watching—so I’m totally with a people online who credit a “business bun” with changing a waves of a match. Even Williams’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, weighed in. “#MamaStrength. What an extraordinary compare between dual women who went all out today. But a #BusinessBun means business,” he wrote.
