When is Yesterday out in cinemas?
Yesterday will be in UK cinemas from June 28.
The film was written by Richard Curtis and is directed by Danny Boyle – the man behind films like Slumdog Millionaire and 127 hours.
Due to the film being heavily based around music by The Beatles, it features a mixture of Beatles covers.
The cover are performed by lead actor Himesh Patel, as well as a duet by Himesh and Lily James.
What is Yesterday about?
Jack is a failed singer songwriter who has an accident and gets a bump on the head.
He wakes up to find that he is the only person on the planet that has ever heard of The Beatles and their music literally don’t exist in this strange new world.
He takes this information and using some of the greatest songs ever written, quickly becomes the world’s biggest star.
But trying to cope with both the stardom and the guilt around his duplicity, whilst trying to keep his mind sane isn’t as easy as one might think.
